There are three main methods of treating mesothelioma,that is,chemotherapy,surgery and radiotherapy. Surgical procedures used in the treatment of this disease are of three types:diagnostic,procedures,palliative procedure or treatment procedures
Diagnostic procedures
Surgical diagnosis is essential step staging confirmed and mesothelioma.

Management Solutions
Palliative surgical procedures are those that treat symptoms of mesothelioma,without aggressively treating the disease itself.
Thorax tube drainage and pleurodesis is considered the most common palliative treatment. Accumulation of fluid,or pleural effusion is most often the first symptom,which calls for Mesothelioma Patients to consult with your doctor. Once this effusion occurred,it is often persistent,returning rapidly after initial chest (fluid drainage). To resolve this problem,the pleural space must be closed. Potentially curative treatments
These procedures are performed with "curative". Their goal is to remove all gross disease,knowing that microscopic disease is likely to remain. Adjuvant therapy (another form of treatment in addition to primary therapy) in the form of chemotherapy or radiotherapy is given to remove any residual disease.
